Sentiment Analysis
Online travel resources today that have structured information are limited to what few vendors put into their websites. However, there’s a large body of information available on the web on the same topics, as unstructured free text. This information may come in the form of articles, critiques, user reviews and so on. This is quite an interesting source of information for several reasons: first, the information come from thousands of diverse authors, making it more unbiased than a single business vendor that has his own interests. Second, the large number of articles makes it possible for us to mine the change patterns of sentiments across the userbase. Third, they are written in a users’ perspective, which is exactly what’s required for our end users.
